I was a full-time employee during the first half of the year, then transitioned into a full-time student and became unemployed. Am I not eligible to claim education tax credits then?

That is not true, you can still apply for an education credit is you meet the requirements.
You only need to be at least half-time at least one academic period to be considered a half-time student.
There is also a credit for taking one single course.
Thank you for the reply.
I am a full-time student, however, it said I couldn't claim an education tax break.
Could it possibly be due to the previous income amount? Does it have a limitation?
