Can I enter my 1042-S form?

You are considered a resident.  For Form 1042-S code 19 is for the compensation from teaching. Here are the steps (online):

  • Sign into your account, select Take me to my return
  • To the right upper corner, in the search box, type in "other reportable income" and Enter
  • Select Jump to other reportable income
  • Next screen, Other Wages Received, select Yes to continue
  • Follow prompts
  • Next screen, Any Other Earned Income, select Yes
  • Next screen, Enter Source of Other income

Can I enter my 1042-S form?

First I tried to file the taxes with Sprintax but they say I am considered a US resident for tax purpose because I have a long stay here.

If you first enter the US with a F-1 visa in 2016, you are considered as a nonresident for five years 2016-2020.
