Can I enter in prescription drug cost as a deduction?
Yes.
They are however subject to limitation. Medical expense deductions are limited to the amount that exceeds 10% of your adjusted gross income. Also, if you do not have sufficient deductions that exceed the standard deduction ($6300 for a single person, and $12,600 for married joint for example) you will also see no direct benefit.
