Can I deduct sales tax from a purchase of a home in 2017?

No. The sales tax from the purchase of a new home is added to the purchase price and increases your cost basis. You will benefit by paying it someday when you sell the home. Please view the Turbotax link below to see a list of things you can deduct this year.
