Can I deduct mileage for business when I am not self-employed (this is not for commuting but for miles driven to customers for which I am not reimbursed)?

Yes, from home to first destination  (including main location of employment) and from last destination back home is considered commuting expenses which are nondeductible.

However, miles traveled between the two are deductible.

You can deduct 53.5 cents per mile or actual vehicle expenses (ie. gasoline. oil, tires, repairs maintenance, insurance) prorated for business miles.
