Yes, as long as the mortgage is legally secured by the property.

TurboTax does not require a 1098 to enter mortgage interest-you can enter it as if you are reading it from a 1098 mortgage statement. However, you will need a year end statement from your lender to enter the interest

To enter mortgage interest:

·       Type in mortgage interest in the search box, top right of your screen

·       Hit the Enter key

·       Click jump to mortgage interest in the search results

·       Follow the prompts and online instructions
