Ohio tax Schedule A deductions says I can deduct HSA contributions. Can I deduct HSA contribution in Ohio if they are pre tax contributions listed on my federal W-2 in box 12? Copied from Ohio website: "You may be able to deduct the amount of
funds you deposited into a medical savings account. If filing a joint
return, your spouse may also be able to deduct his/her funds deposited
into his/her medical savings account.A medical savings account is used to pay
eligible medical expenses of the account-holder or the account-holder’s
spouse and/or the account-holder’s dependents. A medical savings account
can be opened by or on behalf of a person that participates in a
sickness and accident plan, a plan offered by a health maintenance
organization or a self-funded, employer-sponsored health-benefit plan
pursuant to the federal Employee Retirement Income Security Act. For the current tax year, the
maximum amount of deposited funds you may be able to deduct is $4,753."
