Can I claim three mortgage interest deductions if we sold our primary home and bought a new one and paid mortgage interest on both. We own a 2nd home that we don't rent
Both homes were our primary residence for separate parts of the year, both for about six months.

Yes, you can deduct the interest for your primary residences (both) and your second home. Deduct in the Your Home section. If you did not receive a 1098 form for each one, enter the interest as if you did receive the form.
- In your open return, select My Account
- Tools
- Topic Search
- Type '1098' in the box, then select GO
