Can I claim prescription drugs used for invitro fertilization?

In vitro fertilization is an allowable itemized medical deduction. (See IRS Publication 502 by clicking here) Therefore you can deduct prescription drugs associated with the procedure.

We tried IUI, I know we cannot claim the fertility treatments, however, can we claim expenses for the prescriptions during the treatments or the cost of the sperm?
