Yes, you can include dental and optical expenses in the section with your other medical expenses. Please note that Medical Expenses are deductible only to
the extent they exceed 10% of the taxpayer’s adjusted gross income (7.5% if
either taxpayer is age 65 or older). For example, if you are under age 65 and your AGI is $50,000, the first $5,000 of medical expenses are not deductible. Everything above that will be added to your other itemized deductions.
