Yes, if you nonbusiness energy property qualify if you made certain energy efficient improvements you your home in 2017. The new tax extenders for 2017 was just passed to extend tax relief for individuals and families on expired credits ended at the end of 2017. Thank you very much.  That was so helpful.  Can you tell me what part of the income tax form may I add this?  I only see solar credits in form 5695.  Thank you very much!  Your help is much appreciated.

Yes, Form 5695 is the one to use to claim your credit. However, this form is not complete at this time as Congress just passed it. TurboTax is working on updating the form. In the meantime, you can still complete the energy section and you will be able to file when the IRS completes the form.
