Can I check the box disabled if I have a handicap plaque due to diabetic neuropathy. Dr of course had to get plaque due to walking issues.

They filled out person with disabilities parking form - but I can still work just can't walk good and can't feel my feet at all and legs give out and I fall.

Disabled for tax purposes means you are unable to perform gainful work due to a condition that is permanent, or likely to last more than a year, or likely to lead to death.  

If you can perform gainful work, you aren't disabled for tax purposes, even though you may have a medical condition that requires accommodations.
