Can I add childcare expenses after I have downloaded my finished 1040 but before taxes are due.

I forgot to add childcare expenses to my tax return. I cannot get into it to edit it. I am sending by mail and have not sent in the forms yet. How do I add childcare expenses?

Yes, you can edit your taxes if you printed them to mail but realized they were incorrect. 

To do so, please follow these instructions:

• Login to your TurboTax Account 
• Scroll down to the bottom of your page and click on the blue box "Add a State" (You are not actually adding a state but this gets you to the correct menu)
• From here, you can click "Federal" from the left side of your screen and then add your childcare expenses
• Walk through the "File" section to reprint or E-File after you have made the necessary changes
