Business car milage

I did no consulting work in 2022 and had 0 car milage.    For the first six months I entered 0 for the milage.  I also entered 0 for the last six months.  The entry for the first six months keeps giving me an error.  How do I get rid of the error.

If you have not previously taken actual expenses for this vehicle, you can delete it as no deduction is being taken.  Should you again use the vehicle next year, you can reenter your vehicle information at that time.  If you choose to replace the vehicle, please keep in mind that if you want to use the standard mileage rate to calculate vehicle expenses, you must choose it in the first year you use the car for business. In later years you can choose to use the standard mileage rate or switch to actual expenses.

I used car milage years ago.  How do I eliminate as a deduction?  Turbotax tells me I need to fill out the car expense form.

You can delete the asset worksheet for the vehicle and that should remove references to it in TurboTax. Here is how you delete a worksheet or form in TurboTax:

1. Click on Tax Tools in the left menu bar
2. Click on Tools
3. Look under Other Helpful Links and choose Delete a form
