Box 12 - W. Contribution to HSA is well within the federal limits. Employer contribution 0. Still TurboTax is stating I have excess contribution in HSA & have to pay tax.

Be certain to walk through the entire HSA section and indicate that you have a HDHP. If you miss the section on the HDHP, an excess contribution will be calculated.

Be certain to walk through the entire HSA section and indicate that you have a HDHP. It's one of the reasons an excess contribution will be calculated.

I am having the same issue.  I walked through the entire HSA section and indicated that I have a HDHP but the problem still persists.  One extra bit of information is my plan changed from self only to a family plan part way through the year.
