Bought a new vehicle in 2016 in another state and register the vehicle in my home state. First, do I have to claim the vehicle in that state? Second, my home state charged me the sales tax for the registration. Can I claim the amount?

If there was new car sales tax charged by the state where you purchased the vehicle, you can deduct that sales tax. You can also deduct sales tax charged by your home state as well.
