As part of selling my primary residence in the state of Calif, I pre-paid state taxes. Where do I enter this amount on my tax return?

I have a closing / settling statement from the title company but not a standardized form (1099-S or something).

If the broker withheld taxes for you on your home sale you can report them as an estimated payment made in the amount and on the date that the broker indicates for you.

Here's how to enter estimated payments in TurboTax.

You can enter Property Taxes you paid at home closing sale under Deductions & Credits > Your Home.

Hi there!

Thanks for the reply.  I should have been more specific.  This was a pre-payment for the profits on the home sale (not the property taxes).

Any ideas?

Thanks!
