Married and 1 person living overseas

My American spouse is working overseas since last September for a non-US company.  I am permanent resident of the US and have remained in the US working for my company, minus a few trips back and forth.  Is it best to file separately or jointly?  I am also waiting on citizenship interview so not sure if filing jointly and my spouse being overseas can impact that.

As a permanent resident of the US, you are treated as the same as U.S citizens for tax purposes.  I am attaching the following link to show the comparison between filing jointly and separately to help you decide :

-Filing jointly and having your spouse being overseas should not have an impact on your citizenship interview.  For more  information, check https://www.uscis.gov/, ( At the right upper corner, click on Need Help ? Ask Emma, is recommended)
