Are Real Estate taxes deductable? There was not a place to add them and thought last year they were deductable.
Yes.
To deduct real estate taxes, follow this path in TurboTax:
- Click on Federal Taxes TAB
- Click on the Deductions and Credits SubTAB.
- Choose the option "I'll choose what I work on".
- Find the section labeled "Your Home".
- Click start or update on the line labeled "Property Taxes"
- Enter the tax amount in the Your Main Home or Other Property line.
