It depends. Child and dependent care expenses have changed for 2021. You are now able to get a credit for up to 50% of eligible expenses. You've done your research and already know you are eligible for 20% based on your income. However you didn't clarify whether you have two or more children. The answer assumes you do.
The amount of eligible expenses has increased from $3,000 for one qualifying person to $8,000. Additionally, for those with two or more qualifying persons, the amount of eligible expenses has increased from $6,000 to $16,000.

The credit will not populate unless you have entered income from a W-2 or self-employment income that shows a profit. You have to show income earned from working under each spouse's name or you cannot get the childcare credit. Have you entered your incomes yet?
I actually tried it on a different computer, and it still did the same thing. It is really odd. We do have 2 kids, and both were in day care.
And yes, both W-2's are entered for both parents.
I am still having the same issue. Any ideas? Who should I call to get support? This seems to be a glitch with how the system is working, and not a tax issue in my opinion.
