Hello,
I received two 6419 letters (Advance Child Tax Credit) for the year 2021 - one for my spouse and one for myself.
Both letters list the same amount which includes both dollars and cents. For example $1,234.50.
TurboTax stresses that we need to input the exact amount, however, when I input cents on the dollar, the software rounds the $.50 up to a full dollar. This rounds my total amount up which is incorrect.
I've tried inputting numerous times to no avail. Is there an error with the software or how else can I avoid this filing mistake?

In your example, you should enter $1,234 for one spouse and $1,235 for the other spouse.
In fact, when you enter the amount that each spouse has received from their 6419 letters, the amounts are added together to be reported on one line of form 8812 and it is the total amount that the IRS will match with their records.
Thank you. I wasn't sure if they'd check at the individual level, so didn't want to misreport.
