I filed my taxes and was accepted on the 4th. Me & my husband file jointly and got back 3300 in advance between our two kids. Where it said out how much we received, it had a place for both of us and I put the amount in both. So on our taxes, it says we received 6600 in advance instead of 3300. Will this stop my taxes from going through? Or what do I need to do to correct this?

This may delay the processing of your return. Since the returns with Child Tax Credit and EIC are being reviewed before refunds are issued, it is possible that the IRS may catch your mistake and you will receive a letter of correction from the IRS and get the remaining $3,300 of the child tax credit.
It is also possible that the IRS does not catch the error and sends you the refund that is shown on your return.
Either way, you are going to have to wait until the original return e-filed has been completely processed by the IRS. You will know that it is processed when you either receive a letter from the IRS, receive the refund amount from the original e-filed return, or you receive the refund plus the additional child tax credit.
If the IRS does not catch the error and refunds you the amount of the original e-filed return. Then you will need to amend your 2021 return to get the remaining child tax credit.
At this point, you will have to sit tight and wait to see what happens with the original return that was e-filed.
Thank you very much.
