Adjustments to Income (Self Employed Health Insurance Deduction)

HI All,

So, I bought 2025 TurboTax Deluxe to do my tax returns.  I am an SCorp LLC.  I pay myself a W2 and pay for my own health insurance.   I noticed that my Turbotax Deluxe does NOT HAVE "Adjustments to Income (Self Employed Health Insurance) from the Schedule 1.    Does this mean I have to upgrade to TurboTax Premium or TurboTax Home Business version?  IF so, crap!   I'm finished with my 1040 but got hung up with this line item where I can not input my health insurance that I paid.  Need to do an adjustment to income.

EVen if I need to upgrade to Premium or Home Business, can I simply transfer what I have done from my 2025 Delux over to the premium version?  TIA!

You do not need to upgrade for this entry.  To get the deduction to appear on Schedule 1, Line 17, you must link it to your S-Corp status:

  1. Navigate to Federal Taxes > Wages & Income > Schedules K-1, Q and Edit the K-1 for the S Corp.
  2. Enter your information from the K-1 you received from your S-Corp if you have not already done so.
  3. Look for "Other Situations" toward the end of the K-1 interview.
  4. Check the box that says, "I personally paid health insurance and/or long-term care insurance premiums for myself and my family and this S corporation paid me wages."
  5. On the next screen, enter the health insurance premiums you paid. TurboTax will then automatically calculate the deduction and place it on Schedule 1.
