A $3646 capital gains (1099-Div) on fidelity brokerage account is used as "Disposition of Property" in estimating an AMT of $1094. I did not dispose any property. Why?

It sounds like there was other information reported in Boxes 2b, 2c, 5, or 11 of your 1099-Div.  Although you may not have sold or liquidated your investment directly, the investment company that paid your dividend may have done so within the investment.  If this is the case, then you may be subject to AMT.  TurboTax will run the calculations to determine if you will pay your regular tax or the alternative minimum tax.
