I just had an update and my credit for the solar installation for my 2nd home disappeared, and it will only accept it now it is shows on a primary home, not a 2nd home. That isn't what the IRS says and it literally is a $16,000 refund difference. What's up?

TurboTax is aware of this issue and is working to resolve it. You can sign up here for notifications as to when it is resolved.
Link to sign up for notifications of resolution doesn't work.
It has been fixed @Terrence424
I'm not sure if you're meaning the link has been fixed or the underlying problem with TurboTax. The link still doesn't work and TurboTax doesn't either. So not sure what you mean.
What is not working for you? The link was removed because the issue in TurboTax was fixed. Have you updated your software if you are using the desktop?
I opened TurboTax. It didn't ask me to wait for an update. I entered the section on Residential Clean Energy Credit for solar panels on my second home. It asked if my home was in the U.S. and then asked if it was my main home. When I answered no, it asked if I had carryover. When I said no, it said I didn't qualify for the credit.
Program is not fixed. I have an update installed this evening just a few minutes ago, and all credits on this form are denied if I indicate not my main home.
Folks will need to wait for a newer update and/or the restoration of the containment article.
I'm having this exact same issue. What is the estimated time frame for the fix?

They took away the notification sign-up because they thought it was fixed, but it obviously isn't. I do know the moderators of this forum are aware, but that is many layers away from the actual programmers, and I don't know if the correct information is going to filter down to the support channels. Regular updates are on a weekly schedule, but they might release important updates more often.
This is still not working correctly, and it won't let me enter information in forms below the solar section for the installation of a heat pump, specifically the worksheet that would transfer the data does not allow for an entry.
There is a new sign-up for at least some of the problems with the energy credit, although it doesn't seem to cover every problem.
Does anyone know whether the experts or TurboTax have acknowledged this issue? Are they aware of it, understand it, working on it? How will we know when it's been corrected so we can proceed. Thank you.

Yes, see the post right above yours. There's a signup link to get notifications when they fix the problem. I have also heard an unofficial date of Feb 23, but I can't confirm that from an official source.
Thank you.
