1099 for medical study

I received a 1099 for a medical study I participated in. Can I claim mileage (it was 350 miles round trip) for the visits?

1099 for medical study

Yes, if you reported the Form 1099 as self-employment income.  If you reported it as "other income" then no, you cannot deduct your mileage.
