Turbotax imported my income from the federal taxes into NJ state taxes, however, the decimal on the amount was omitted leading to reporting a 8 figure income instead of a 6 figure income. As a result of this, I have to pay the state of NJ 8 figures. The income on the federal income tax is correct. How can I correct the income on the state income tax.

Please remove all decimals in your TurboTax input and round to the nearest number. This should eliminate any issues you are having.
I removed all the decimals and rounded the figure. By default, turbotax adds a decimal and 2 zeroes. Nothing changed. I bought my turbotax from costco. does that make a difference
The decimal and 2 zeroes won't make a difference in your calculations. TurboTax transfers data from your federal return to your state return. Before you begin troubleshooting your state return, go back through your federal return and make sure everything is correct.
After you review your federal return, select the State Taxes tab and review the state section. Pay close attention to the information, especially if you have made changes to your federal return. There might be new sections that need to be completed.

If this doesn't work, you can update your software and maybe deleting your state and stating it again.
