Why is turbo 2018 asking me for miscellaneous deduction expense I claimed in 2017 if it's disallowed in 2018?

The program allows you to enter the federally disallowed expenses  to use on your state tax return if they still allow them ... if they do not then skip those unneeded sections.

Oh yes.  That makes sense.  Haha, wishful thinking?  Last year this deduction for us was over 17K.  Uh...it's a problem for us now.
