Why is it not picking up my deduction and solar credits

We can't see your tax return to know why TurboTax is not picking up your deduction for solar credits however there are times when you can't take the credit in the current year. Please see below:

• Your income is at a level that's not taxed at all.
• You're getting other tax credits that have reduced your tax owed to zero.
• Review your Form 5695 to see how your credit was applied and/or limited. See How do I preview my TurboTax Online return before filing?

If your credit can be carried forward to next year, TurboTax will do that for you.

i was told it would be in this years tax . even the stuff i did on schedule a are not being reflected

Schedule A has nothing to do with your solar credit. It is probable that your standard deduction gives you a greater benefit.

Go back through the energy credit section and check your answers. You said," i was told it would be in this years tax". Who told you this?
