My husband was working and living in Michigan but I never lived in and worked in Michigan. We file the tax return separately. I don't understand why I need to pay for Michigan tax

If you are filing MFS and have no MI income and a non-resident of MI you should not have a MI return at all.
Go back to Personal Information section and make it does not list MI as a State that you had income from.
Then delete the MI return.
