Why do I get an error when I type in a sold date for a stock on my trust tax return for 5/29/2018 but not for 11/29/2018? Any 2-digit month works, but ay 1-digit won't.

I've tried putting a "0" before the 1-digit but I still get the same error.

Is it changing the gain from long to short term? What does the error say?

No.  The error is "Date Sold-1 is not a date in the current tax year."  But the year is clearly 2018 and it's fine as long as the month is 10, 11 or 12.

That is strange and is not showing as an error on this side. Suggest you update the program or not use dates, only long or short. You can also delete the entry and enter it manually.

Will do.  Problem did not occur for other trust returns so maybe I'll just start all over again.  Thank you.
