We are both over 65, with employer sponsored pensions. Therefore, selected No for the over 65 credit in favor of using the $6000 exemption. The software gave us both, which is not permitted under current Arkansas law. I've tried several times to correct this, and the program will not accept the change to not use the over 65 credit. How do I correct this?

I created a new return to test out your issue. The program worked correctly for me. I believe you may have a piece of data stuck in your system.

  1. Delete the state form if you can. If not:
    1. Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
    2. In the left menu, select Tax Tools
    3. then select  Tools.
    4. In the pop-up window named Tool Center,
    5. choose Delete a form.
    6. Select Delete next to the AR info worksheet in the list and follow the instructions.

Log out of your return

  1. Try one or more of the following:
  2. Log back into your return.
  3. Enter the information again.

If there is still something wrong, you may want to contact a specialist that can work through that section of the return with you.
