there should be an area or question for the form showing the withholding for the state. If you tell us the form number and the state,  more guidance can be provided if necessary. Many forms and worksheets have a dropdown section where you select the state.

That depends on what kind of tax document you are entering.   If you are entering a W-2, the state tax information is in boxes 15, 16 and 17 of the W-2 and you enter all of that information when you enter your W-2 into the federal return.

Or do you have some other kind of tax document with state tax withheld?
