We sold a house in NY with a capital gain and paid estimated NY nonresidential income taxes. Should we file a NY nonresidential tax return? This was our only NY income?
This was not a primary residence.

You must file the return to calculate the actual tax owed, and either pay more or get a refund. Paying the estimate is not the same as filing the complete return.
