W2 for VA and GA but lived and WFH in VA

My W2 has state taxes paid for GA and VA, but I worked from home in VA the entire year. My employer took out GA Tax in error.

Box 16 on my VA shows the same amount as Box 1 on my W2,

GA State shows State wages as well (so both combined Box 16 is greater than Box 1).

I know I will need to file for both VA and State, but should I…

a) Change state wages for GA to $0, to get a full refund from GA and pay the additional taxes to VA?

b) Enter whatever shows in W2?

If a, do I need my employer to change my W2 to be able to do this?

Enter your W-2 as is, but file a non-resident GA return and allocate zero income to GA.  File your normal resident return for VA, showing ALL your income as VA income.

Your W-2 is correct in that it shows the taxes that your employer has already deposited with each state.  That can't be changed at this point.  Your employer shouldn't have withheld GA taxes, but he already did.

Be sure you get this corrected for tax year 2024.
