1) For the first amount....edit your 1099-R in the Federal section using the Q&A . On the follow-up question after the main 1099-R form, where you indicate it is eligible for the Bailey Settlement...down lower on the page you indicate the NC Distribution amount. That number should be box 2a of your 1099-R form...or the Federally taxable amount of box 1 if box 2a is not determined......I'm guessing it should be 78073 on that page form what you are saying. That puts it in the proper place on the SCH S.
2) for the line 13 issue, One would have to have done that yourself during the NC part of the interview, when you made a separate "Deductions from North Carolina Income"entry , thus ~doubling what was already recorded. . Easiest fix for Desktop users, is to go to Forms Mode...find and open the "NC Other Adjust" worksheet and delete the whole line you see on that form for line 13. That will take it off the SCH S. (Online software users would have to go thru the entire NC interview to find it and remove it in the place it was entered)
