Turbo tax is not allowing me to input state income taxes paid

How do I input 1099 tax paid to state

What kind of 1099?   You usually enter the state withholding on the same screen as the 1099.  Like for a 1099R it’s in boxes 14-16.

It depends on what kind of Form 1099 it is, but if it's listed on your 1099 and there is no place to enter it on the 1099 screen, you can always enter just the tax withheld and paid separately.

• Estimates and Other Taxes Paid
• Other Income Taxes
• START
• Withholding not already entered on a W-2 or 1099
• START
• Select Yes and continue to the screen where you will select the state and enter the amount.

Please verify that you are entering the 1099 in the correct section. 

If you are unsure, please tell us what you received the 1099 for.

Is it a 1099-MISC or 1099-R or something else?
