Turbo Tax 2022 is asking for a California "state id" to verify my CA state tax withheld. What is the number?

The state ID would be listed between box 15 and 16 on your W-2 form.

another number shown is 234-6887

neither is accepted on turbo tax

Your CA ID number will be in box 15 of your W-2 Form. Try entering the number without the 9.
