Did you already e-file a tax return using some other software? You cannot file twice. If you did then one of the returns will be rejected. The IRS will only accept one tax return with your Social Security number on it. If your first return was accepted then the only thing you can do is wait for it to be fully processed and amend it later.

No--that's fine. Prepare and file your tax return correctly. It sounds like you just had something you did not enter in the first software program you tried out. The IRS does not see it until you file it.
you are not saying exactly what amount you entered on which form that reduced your tax by 700.
