If you purchased Audit Defense, that company should help you with the CT letter.  If you did not purchase the Audit Defense, TurboTax has a free Audit Support Center that you can phone for help with your CT state letter.   See the info in this FAQ.   The phone number is way down the page in the section "Audit Support Guarantee."

No, it does not answer.  I am not subject to an audit, yet, anyway. And  also see problems with my federal that the preparer used one schedule for business deductions, and I'm a retiree. No gig income, nothing. 

 

THE PROBLEM IS TURBO DOES NOT CONNECT YOU WITH ANY UNIT THAT CAN HANDLE PROBLEMS, SUCH AS A REFUND FOR A SCREW UP THEY CAUSED, AND APPARENTLY, LEAVE YOU HOLDING THE BAG IF YOU NEED AN AMENDED RETURN. You can keep getting preparers to keep asking how do you get thru to help for problems with your returns, and they can even send the manager of your preparer a message, but nobody gets back to you. I'm reading that the ONLY way you can get any redress is to file a complaint with an agency. I'm waiting for the federal to be processed, since nobody will respond to me. I'd like to know how to get a corrected return FOR THE FEDERAL, that most likely will need one since I shouldn't have business deductions.  ALSO, I COULD NOT SEE THE RETURN BEFORE SIGNING, ONLY A SUMMARY, SO I COULD NOT SEE THIS. ALSO, I HAD UPLOADED MY ESTIMATED PAYMENTS AND NOT APPLIED. 

 

BUT PROBLEMS CANNOT BE RECTIFIED, IT SEEMS. And I never heard of "audit defense," but just because you have ERRORS ON YOUR RETURNS doesn't mean you are getting audited. AND YOU SHOULD NOT NOT NOT have to buy another product to get them to correct their own errors!!!!  

 

I'm reading this company is basically a scam? Perhaps it all seems good until there is a problem. Also, it seems like they must keep preparers that are extremely error prone and don't care, since they don't correct returns....

This is mainly a user community forum.   No one here knows what product and options you used to prepare the return, but if you used the Expert Assist feature to prepare your return, you should be able to reach a tax expert for assistance the same way as when preparing it.
