There is no employer state ID, can I still file?

Im almost finished filing my taxes, but on one of my W2 forms there is no employer state i.d. #.. the box is blank. Am i still able to continue without out it??

If you live in a state that does not have income tax, you should make sure that all the boxes in the state section are completely blank.

If the employer's state ID number is not listed on your W-2 (and you live in a state that does have an income tax), you can enter the federal ID number (EIN) in box 15.
