To fix this, sign in to your TurboTax account, then click on My Info section, and select Edit. Make sure your spouse’s information exactly matches with the IRS data.
If the issue continues, then try deleting the state return and enter again:
To do this, go to Tax Tools, then Tools, and Delete a Form. Then remove the State Personal Information worksheet. Enter your spouse’s information again in the federal section, not in the state section. Go back to the State review section and try to E-file again.
If the IRS still rejects your return, you may need to file by mail.
Thanks Nicolle. I had deleted the state return on Friday and then just added it and it worked. Thank you!!!!! Hate these silly glitches. I called Turbo tax and they had no clue and told me to call the IRS. Uggh.
