The kiddie tax is not asking for the parents tax rate?

I have unemployment income exceeding the 2023 kiddie tax limit.  The software is not asking for my parents tax rate for the amount over the limit

TurboTax (TT) does not ask for the parent's tax rate. Instead, it will ask for their taxable income and tax paid.

You have to go through the "Child's Income" section of the TurboTax interview in order to have it fill out Form 8615 for the kiddie tax. In that section it will ask the necessary questions about your parents' tax return.
