State taxes question: my wife lived in another state for part of the year (Jan to April) in VA and moved with me in NJ after that (May to Dec) ?

I lived in NJ all year long, however, my wife lived in VA for part of the year (Jan to April) and moved with me in NJ after that (May to Dec) . My status is filled jointly and I am stuck at state VA part. Since she lived in VA for 4 months, turbotax suggested me to use married filling seperate, and there is a link for "step-by-step" but it always redirected me to the Turbotax home page, I have no idea of this "step-by-step". Every time I click review it said I need to finish my VA tax but I cannot move on.

I really don't know what I should do, any suggestions or this is a bug with Turbotax.

This is a Virginia Filing Requirement.  Virginia requires her to file using the status "married filing separately" because you and she did not have the same residency period in Virginia.  To prepare her separate Virginia return, you will need to create a "mock" return as if she were filing a separate Federal return, and then prepare her Virginia state separate return, which will be mailed in (will not qualify for e-filing).
