State returns: I lived in WA till 9/2018, then in ID for the rest. I sold a house in WA 5/2018 but state form insists I sold house in ID. How do I fix?

Yes, I didn't realize you had earned zero in ID.  you obviously don't file in WA and you did not have enough income to file in ID, so you do not need to file any state returns for 2018.

If you filed a part-year return for ID,there should have been a part of the program that asked you to specify the ID income, that's part of every state part-year or nonresident return.  Did you go all the way through the ID program?

Thanks for reply. Yes, I went through the entire ID program. I had 21K W2 income in WA. Only income for 3 months in ID was <$100 savings interest income. Program assumed I sold house in ID, with no option in pull-down menu to indicate WA for state taxes. There's no state income tax there. I changed the ID pre-filled capital gains field from 81K to zero. Program insisted on ID address where I sold a house, so I input the WA address. Made no sense. In the end, I cancelled the ID income tax filing, since all other questions led me to conclusion that I owe no state taxes.
