South Carolina just passed a new tax bill on March 30 2026 for the 2025 tax year. When will TurboTax be updated to reflect this new bill?

South Carolina House Bill 3368 has not fully passed the legislature yet.

This is why the SCDOR has extended filing deadline to October 15, 2026.

Thanks for that information but I would like to file earlier than October as I expect a refund.  I don't want to have file an amended return.  So I was wondering when Turbotax will have the SC tax form that will be compliant with the March 30th tax bill?  Thanks again.

@Lori61 As previously stated, the SC legislature has NOT finalized this bill.  It must pass the SC senate and then go to the Governor to be signed into law.  None of that has yet to be done so there is nothing that TurboTax can provide until if and when the legislation has become law.

Sorry I meant to add the bill number, SC passed a new tax law bill, 4216,  on March 30th.  I assumed that bill addressed the 2025 funding year.  If I am incorrect I apologize.  I know about  bill 3368 and it should not impact my taxes.  Not knowing about 4216, I tried to file my taxes last week and they were rejected and the error I received was that the Turbotax needed to be updated and would be updated on March 31st or later.  I assumed that was because of 4216.   If I am incorrect I apologize.  I did try to update today but there were no updates to the SC forms.  Just trying to figure out what update is needed so that I can finish my taxes and if 4216 has anything to do with the SC issues.  BTW I have the desktop Premier version.

@Lori61 Sorry my mistake.  HB 4216 has passed and been signed.

TurboTax cannot incorporate this into the 2025 software until SC updates their tax code and provides guidance to tax preparation software companies.
