So I was able to apply my federal tax returns properly and when I got to state it was a little bit more complicated because I moved from New Jersey to Virginia. I was able to do the Virginia state tax

Will I have to redo my NJ ones because it doesn’t show my old address?

At the top of your federal return and the top of your state returns (usually), you should see your current address - i.e., the address where you can receive mail today. You should not try to put your old New Jersey address on your New Jersey return, because if New jersey wants to mail you something, they need your current address, not where you used to live.

As for W-2s and other forms with your address, just enter the addresses as printed on the forms.
