I am confused if I should file Colorado tax return for my remote work living in Washington state.
I've resided in Washington state for the entirety of the past year, working remotely full-time for a Colorado-based company. The company did not withhold any of my Colorado income tax. As a non-resident with income considered to be not sourced from Colorado, and with no Colorado state income tax withheld (thus no refund to claim), am I still required to file a Colorado state income tax return?

No. You do not need to file a CO return as a non-resident, when you did not perform any of the work in CO. If you went to CO to work sometimes, then yes, you would need to file a non-resident return to pay taxes only on the income you earned while physically present in CO.

Thank you so much!
