Rita Tax Ohio
My wife works from home and does not get any city tax withheld from her paychecks. The city we live in taxes at a rate of 1.5 percent and we made those quarterly payments and I was just wondering if we are required to pay that 1.5 percent? Company is based in georgia but she mainly works from home and travels all around ohio.

Yes, you are required to pay city tax on her net self employment income, since she lives in a RITA city. You will file a RITA return*, and apply those quarterly payments against any calculated tax.
*To verify that your city is a RITA member, see https://www.ritaohio.com/Municipalities . If not, a city tax return may be still due, you'll have to contact the city for forms. TurboTax can only do RITA & CCA cities. CCA list: http://ccatax.ci.cleveland.oh.us/?p=ccamap

Thank you for your reply! I knew that we should have been paying and she has been telling me her job said she's not required
