we are rideshare company drivers..tax return time when we ask to companies about our m?les they only sent us trip miles..we are going to pick up rider from 18 miles and bring them sometimes 4-5 miles..company count only 4-5 miles..But driver spend 23 miles.. this is our business and it is not fare to deduct only 5 miles.. 18 miles is my expence for my business.. and we are not taxi drivers and we have no space for parking and we have to move in town for looking new riders in town..miles working in our cars we are not at home...why we can not use this extra miles for tax deduct all is for business...? if a driver made 100.000 dollars in a year when you check rideshare companies miles it is 35.000 miles total... with 35.000 miles you cant make 100.000 dollars in a year...it doesnt make sense..what we can do for our real miles for deduct..?

All of the miles that were driven strictly for business purposes are deductible. So, your miles driven to the rider's location to pick them up plus the miles driving them to their destination are all deductible and can all be entered in TurboTax. However, you would need to track your miles in order to claim these additional miles. You should be tracking all income and expenses related to the rideshare. Using a program like Quickbooks Self-Employed which will track all of your miles and allow you to choose which miles are personal and which miles are business can help with this.
If you have actually tracked and documented your miles that the RideShare company did not you can claim them on your taxes for 2017.
